Nextorage Releases NN4ME SSD with Impressive Speed and Features

TapTechNews August 12th news, Nextorage, the former Sony-owned enterprise and now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Phison, released the NN4ME series of solid-state drives on the 9th of this month local time in Japan, with options of 1TB and 2TB capacities.

The NN4ME solid-state drive adopts the PCIe 4.0×4 interface and the single-sided M.2 2230-S3-M form factor, and has a nominal maximum sequential read rate of 7400 MB/s. This level is in a leading position among 2230-spec solid-state drives, on par with Hikvision Storage DK4000 2TB.

Nextorage NN4ME solid-state drive is equipped with 3D TLC NAND flash and supports the NVMe 1.4 protocol. It adopts a DRAM-less solution and is equipped with a large-capacity dynamic SLC cache, and is compatible with the DirectStorage API, suitable for devices such as handheld game consoles and tablet PCs that are sensitive to power consumption.

In addition to the 7400 MB/s sequential read, the sequential write of NN4ME can also reach 6200 MB/s, and the random read and write can also reach 750 KIOPS and 850 KIOPS respectively.

Nextorage NN4ME solid-state drive has a 5-year warranty, and the guaranteed write volumes for the 1TB and 2TB models are 600 TBW and 1200 TBW respectively.

In terms of price, the 1TB model of NN4ME is priced at 21980 yen (TapTechNews note: currently about 1072 yuan), and the 2TB model is 38980 yen (currently about 1901 yuan).
