Gotion High-Tech to Build Three Energy Storage Power Stations with a Total Capacity of 1 GWh

TapTechNews August 13th news, on August 8th, Gotion High-Tech signed contracts with Datang Tangshan New Energy and Hebei Linhai Technology Group respectively to build three energy storage power stations with a total capacity of 1 GWh.

It is introduced that Gotion High-Tech will cooperate with Datang Tangshan New Energy to build a 200 MWh user-side energy storage power station, and cooperate with Linhai Technology Group to build two 100 MW/400 MWh independent energy storage power stations. All three energy storage power stations are planned to be completed and connected to the grid for operation by the end of 2024.

According to the agreement, Datang Tangshan New Energy Co., Ltd. and Tangshan Gotion Battery Co., Ltd. will invest in the construction of a 200 MWh user-side energy storage power station project, and the project is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year.

400 MWh Independent Energy Storage Power Station

Hebei Linhai Technology Group signed with Tangshan Xuanteng Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. under Tangshan Gotion, and the two sides will jointly invest in the construction of two 100 MW/400 MWh independent energy storage power stations.

TapTechNews found out that the Linhai Technology 100 MW/400 MWh independent energy storage power station and the Furui Ci New Energy 100 MW/400 MWh independent energy storage power station invested and constructed by Linhai Technology Group will adopt Gotion High-Tech's 314 Ah energy storage cell, and the energy storage DC-side equipment is 160 sets of liquid-cooled energy storage containers for lithium phosphate batteries, with each unit having a power of more than 5 MWh, with a total energy storage capacity of 800 MWh.
