Apple Introduces Offline Mode for AppleNews+ in iOS 17.5 Update

TapTechNews May 14th news, Apple officially launched the iOS 17.5 update today, introducing an offline mode feature for Apple AppleNews+ news subscription service, allowing users to download news headlines/audio briefs/magazines/commentary articles/daily puzzles offline to their phones for reading without internet connection.

Apple also stated that iOS 17.5 update also added a word game called Quartiles to AppleNews+, which is an interesting addition to the existing fill-in games. In addition, the company added a brand new player data scoreboard for the word game, claiming that users can view personalized statistics and win streak information for each puzzle.

According to previous reports from TapTechNews, Apple and Google announced the industry standard for Detecting Unwanted Location Trackers in May 2023, and after more than a year of polishing, the standard has now been deployed to iPhones through iOS 17.5.
