It is reported that the head of the Firefly Division to which Firefly belongs is Jin Ge, the assistant vice president of NIO, and reports to NIO CEO Li Bin.
In an activity face to face with users in January last year, NIO President Qin Lihong confirmed the existence of the third brand and said that the new brand is in the process of intense preparation, and this brand focuses on the small car and mini car market with a price range of $15,000-$30,000 and is expected to debut in the European market in the third quarter of 2024.
However, judging from the latest exposed information, this new car will be listed first in the domestic market and then debut in the European market.
In April last year, Qin Lihong, president of NIO Motors, said in an interview with the media that Alps and Firefly are both internal project codes of NIO, not brand names. Among them, the brand with the code Alps has been confirmed as Ledao with a pre-sale price starting from $32,900 and will be officially launched in September.
