QuestPro was launched in 2022, but the market response was mediocre. Meta did not clearly state the reason for discontinuing QuestPro in the blog post, but it is obvious that this headset has not been widely welcomed by the market.

QuestPro had an initial price of up to $1499 (TapTechNews note: currently about 10,536 RMB) at the beginning of its release, and the price was permanently reduced to $999 (currently about 7,022 RMB) a few months later, but it is still not cheap, especially considering that Meta later launched the more cost-effective Quest3 with a price of $499 (currently about 3,507 RMB).

Meta also announced the discontinuation of Quest2, which is more in line with the market rule. Quest2 has been on the market for four years, and the just-released Quest3S is its ideal replacement.
