Apple's New AI Service "AppleIntelligence" and Its Future

TapTechNews June 17 news, the one-week Apple WWDC24 Developer Conference has come to an end. For those who couldn't attend the conference, the Monday keynote speech is undoubtedly the core of the entire event, which deeply shows Apple's future plans. And the protagonist of the keynote speech is the brand-new artificial intelligence service launched by Apple - "AppleIntelligence", which is Apple's solution for competing products such as Microsoft Copilot. Although many cool functions were demonstrated at the conference, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman revealed that some functions would not be available until 2025.

Gurman's sources are always reliable, and he also successfully predicted the content of the WWDC2024 keynote speech. This time, Gurman discussed the release time of the "AppleIntelligence" function, which may be a little slower than some people expected. TapTechNews noticed that Gurman believes that this is because Apple doesn't want to rush to launch its artificial intelligence product, and they hope to take the time to solve problems and improve the functions for languages other than American English.

"AppleIntelligence" will still be launched in the autumn of 2024, but it will not include all the functions demonstrated at WWDC24. Therefore, it will be labeled as a "preview version" initially to indicate that it is still in the development stage. Some of the major missing functions include Siri understanding device content, semantic indexing, allowing the artificial intelligence to control the device, and the screen perception function, all of which will be available at some point in 2025.

Even so, Gurman said that the "AppleIntelligence" released this autumn still has some interesting features worth exploring, such as a brand-new Siri user interface, the "typed Siri" function (which allows users to interact with Siri through the keyboard rather than voice) and being able to better understand the meaning even if there are errors in the speaker's words.
