Microsoft Announces New Features at Build 2024 Developer Conference
TapTechNews May 22nd news, at today's early morning Microsoft Build 2024 Developer Conference, Microsoft announced the launch of the latest TeamCopilot.
TeamCopilot is an extension of Copilot for Microsoft 365, aiming to extend Copilot beyond personal AI assistants and can assist teams in improving collaboration and project management, and users will be able to invoke Copilot in applications such as Teams, Loop, and Planner.
According to Microsoft, TeamCopilot mainly has the following three functions, including:
Meeting host: Make discussions more productive by managing the agenda and creating publicly editable meeting notes for everyone.
Team collaborator: TeamCopilot can help everyone make better use of the chat function, discover important information, track action items and solve outstanding problems.
Project manager: TeamCopilot ensures the smooth running of each project by creating and assigning tasks, tracking deadlines and alerting team members when their input is needed.
Microsoft said that these functions will be launched in preview version to customers with a Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 license in late 2024.
In addition, Microsoft also introduced new agent features for CopilotStudio, aiming to help developers build a Copilot that can actively respond to data and events and can be customized for specific tasks and functions:
Automate long-running business processes.
Reason based on operations and user input.
Use memory to introduce context.
Learn based on user feedback.
Record abnormal requests and seek help.
Of course, these functions in CopilotStudio are still in the early access stage, and Microsoft is preparing to widely push in late 2024.
TapTechNews noticed that Microsoft also launched new Copilot extension functions, thus allowing everyone to easily customize Copilot operations and extend Copilot to their data and business line systems.
According to the introduction, developers can use CopilotStudio or the Teams toolkit in Visual Studio to build these extensions; Microsoft also introduced the Copilot connector in CopilotStudio, so that developers can develop Copilot extensions faster and better.
