Monster Charging Sued by Agents for Alleged Fraud and Service Issues

On the morning of August 15, Sina Technology exclusively learned that many local agents are jointly suing Monster Charging, claiming to have suffered from telemarketing fraud by Monster Charging salespeople.

Agents said that after many people cumulatively invested millions of yuan to buy Monster Charging equipment and services such as after-sales laying, there was a phenomenon of unfinished laying, resulting in a large area of equipment offline and serious losses in early investment. At present, they are facing the following difficulties:

Firstly, at the beginning of the sales, the salesperson of Monster Charging promised verbally that after purchasing the equipment and signing with the only cooperative laying company of Monster Charging, it could guarantee that the average daily revenue per unit would not be lower than 3.3 yuan/day within one year. But after buying the equipment, the guaranteed laying service partner recommended by Monster Charging suddenly withdrew before the equipment was laid completely, resulting in paying the laying fee but not enjoying the corresponding service, and the revenue guarantee also disappeared.

Secondly, due to the incomplete laying and post-laying optimization by the laying team, currently, the charging equipment of some agents is offline in a large area, and the online rate of individual agent equipment is less than 25%, and the subsequent operation and maintenance is difficult. Moreover, the agents also received warnings from the laying personnel that the laid points would be removed and there is a risk of the machine being lost.

At present, such problems of Monster Charging have broken out in places such as Harbin, Wuhan, Changsha, Sichuan, and Wuxi. However, Monster Charging is taking the above issues to the招商人员 (salesperson) by citing that the surrogate laying is not an official policy, and is trying hard to clear the company's responsibility.

At present, many agents have already filed a lawsuit against Monster Charging regarding relevant matters. Some of these agents are also considering selling the equipment to recover the cost and stop the loss, but due to the significant price reduction of Monster Charging equipment in the short term, the equipment in the hands of these agents has severely depreciated and is difficult to resell.

Sina Technology verified with Monster Charging, and as of the time of sending the manuscript, the company has not responded yet.
