This is the first low-altitude intercity air route from Suzhou to Pudong Airport, expected to officially debut on August 18th, and the Kunshan City Terminal will also become the first city terminal in the country to launch a cross-provincial air-air combined transport project.
The aircraft used for this flight is the BELL505 single-engine four-seat light helicopter produced by the American Bell company, with a maximum airspeed of 231 kilometers per hour and a maximum range of 566 kilometers.
In terms of price, during the market promotion stage, the one-way flight price is set at $240 per person, $270 per person, and the service content includes the one-way combined transport service from the Kunshan City Terminal to the Shanghai Pudong Airport helicopter, as well as adding one-on-one dedicated full-process service after landing in the airport, etc. Including the airport ground connection time, the whole process is controlled within 1 hour.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Kunshan City Terminal, the air-air combined transport project service will also deeply expand the coverage of the low-altitude economy. Using the professional resources of the helicopter company, starting from the Kunshan City Terminal, Kunshan Development Zone will open low-altitude tourism services to Shanghai Disneyland, Zhoushan, Huangshan, and cross-border air emergency medical rescue and transfer services to hospitals such as Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Chest Hospital, and Pulmonary Hospital.
TapTechNews noticed that the Yangtze River Delta International Airport Modern Logistics Center and the Shanghai Airport Kunshan City Terminal have respectively obtained the international aviation three-character code - KHL and KVS, Kunshan becomes the only county-level city in the country that has both international aviation passenger and freight three-character codes at the same time.
According to the Suzhou Release on August 10th, in the future, Suzhou will also plan to open helicopter connecting feeder routes to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and Pudong Airport, and will also launch customized in-city flight routes and open air-rail combined transport services, launching flight services to Suzhou North Station.
