TapTechNews noted that this is another recall incident that the Porsche Taycan has encountered since its launch in 2019, and the global sales of this car have exceeded 150,000 units. In December last year, due to a problem with the charging cable, Porsche recalled more than 41,000 Taycan models. In March this year, due to the possible short-circuit hazard of the battery module, hundreds of Taycan were recalled again.

In this recall, the front brake hose of some Taycan vehicles may crack and leak brake fluid over time. According to the report submitted by Porsche to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a total of 31,689 Taycan are recalled in this recall.

Although no collision accidents related to this problem have occurred in the US so far, Porsche initiated the recall out of safety and caution. Porsche dealers will replace the recalled vehicles with a front brake hose with higher flexibility free of charge to reduce the load on the brake hose. Owners will receive a recall notice letter on July 3rd.

Porsche released the new 2025 Taycan model in February this year, which has a longer range, faster charging speed and more powerful acceleration. Immediately after that, Porsche also released its fastest road-legal model, the Taycan Turbo GT. This electric sports car with 1,092 horsepower can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.1 seconds, comparable to the Tesla Model S.
