TapTechNews September 12th news, Samsung today launched its latest entry-level smartphone, Galaxy M05, in India, which is essentially a renamed version of Galaxy A05.

Like the A05, the Galaxy M05 is equipped with a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, and has an 8MP front camera.

The back is equipped with a 50MP main camera, as well as a 2MP depth sensor and LED flashlight.

The Samsung Galaxy M05 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. It runs on the One UI Core 6.0 system based on Android 14, and Samsung promises to provide 2 major version Android system updates and 4 years of security updates.

The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, supports 25W charging, and retains the headphone jack.

The Galaxy M05 is only available in the version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, priced at 7999 Indian Rupees (TapTechNews note: currently about 678 Chinese Yuan), and will soon be available on the Samsung India official website, Amazon, and partner retailers.
