Google Completes Singapore Data Center Expansion, Amazon AWS to Expand in Singapore Too

Google said that its data center in Singapore employs more than 500 people and is responsible for services such as Google Search and Maps. Last week, Google said it will invest 200 million US dollars in Malaysia and develop the first data center in the country.

At present, Google has established and operated data centers in 11 countries and regions to provide services to global users.

According to a previous TapTechNews report, Google recently announced that it will invest 200 million US dollars in Malaysia. The investment projects include building the first data center, new Google Cloud regions, and further developing artificial intelligence, etc.

In addition, Amazon AWS also announced earlier this month that it will invest an additional 12 billion Singapore dollars (currently about 64 billion Chinese yuan) in Singapore in 2028 to further expand the AWS cloud computing infrastructure located there.
