The New Dimensity 9400 Strong Performance and Comparisons

TapTechNews August 8th news, the blogger @DigitalChatStation revealed today that the current single-core performance of Dimensity 9400 has increased by more than 30%, and it is estimated that the Geekbench6 single-core跑分 should be around 2.9K-3K±, basically catching up with A17Pro. The CPU energy efficiency has currently increased by 35%, supporting 12nm LPDDR5X 10.7 Gbps, and the packaging thickness has been reduced by about 9%.

Previously, it was reported that the vivo X200 series with three models, which will be the first to carry the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship platform, will compete on the same stage with the new product of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 as soon as October this year. The Dimensity 9400 chip adopts TSMC's second-generation N3 process, and the core architecture is 1*X5 + 3*X4 + 4*A7.

It is worth noting that Arm changed the naming method of the Cortex-X CPU series in May this year. The single-core performance of the Cortex-X4 successor X925 has increased by 36% (based on Geekbench tests). Arm also brings a new generation of Cortex-A microarchitecture (small core), namely Cortex-A725 and Cortex-A520. Arm claims that the performance efficiency of Cortex-A725 is 35% higher than that of the previous-generation A720, and the energy efficiency of Cortex-A520 has also increased by 15%.

TapTechNews previously reported that in October, there will be 2 models with Dimensity 9400 processor and 1 model with Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processor competing on the same stage, which are expected to be OPPO Find X8, vivo X200, and Xiaomi 15 series phones.
