Rainbow Six Siege Introduces Subscription Model

TapTechNews May 28th, since the rise of the subscription model, most popular games will eventually take the plunge, such as GTA Online and Fallout 76. Now it seems that Rainbow Six: Siege has also joined this ranks.

According to Ubisoft, for just $10 per month (TapTechNews note: currently about 73 Chinese yuan), you can get the R6 Membership, which includes a premium pass (unlocks 10 levels), time-limited rewards, etc.

Upon subscription, you can immediately obtain: Battle Pass and instantly level up to 10 levels, 1 Bravo pack.

On the 28th of each month, you can additionally obtain: a new look including 1 legendary item and 1 epic bundle (the first installment will start on June 28).

On the day of monthly renewal, you can get: an additional 10-level boost in the Battle Pass and 1 Bravo pack.

Embarrassingly, this not-so-generous R6 subscription has not received much praise from players. The most embarrassing thing is that Ubisoft played a promotional video about R6 Membership during the 2024 Manchester BLAST R6 Major esports event, but it attracted a chorus of boos from the players.

Rainbow Six: Siege is currently supported on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5 platforms. Players will be able to subscribe to R6 Membership from June 11th, and the new season should also start at the same time.
