TapTechNews learned that Volkswagen Taxi and the Bank of China jointly launched the Bank of China Smart Pay POS taxi in April this year to solve the payment problem for foreign guests who are accustomed to swiping credit cards when taking a taxi. Currently, POS machines have been installed in nearly 1,000 taxis, and it is expected to complete the installation of 2,000 vehicles before the Import Expo. After the Import Expo, such POS-version taxis will operate in the long term. On each taxi, a coin purse will be equipped to facilitate the use of cash payment especially for elderly passengers.

In addition, three luggage storage lockers have been added in the stations of Metro Line 2 and Metro Line 17 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center Station, providing 75 compartments. According to Sun Ruiyi, the duty station master of the National Exhibition and Convention Center Station, the station has set up a foreign card POS machine at the service center to sell subway one-way tickets / one-day tickets / three-day tickets. Foreign cards such as Visa, MasterCard, DiscoverCard, American Express, DinersClub, and JCB held by foreign passengers can also directly swipe the card to buy tickets.
