HP to Conduct Human Resource Adjustments in Taiwan in October with Mixed Financial Results

TapTechNews October 6th news, according to Taiwan media digitimes report, news came from the PC supply chain that HP will conduct human resource adjustments in two batches in Taiwan, China in October.

The report said that in this human resource adjustment, the R & D unit laid off 20 to 30 people, and the senior executives of HP vice presidents will also change, which is the first large-scale move against the R & D team.

HP announced on August 28th the financial report for the third fiscal quarter ending July 31, 2024, achieving a net revenue of 13.5 billion US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 95.25 billion yuan), an increase of 2.4% compared to the third fiscal quarter of the 2023 fiscal year, and this is also the first time HP has recorded a year-on-year increase in net revenue since the third fiscal quarter of the 2022 fiscal year.

However, HP's operating profit margin in the third fiscal quarter of the 2024 fiscal year is 7%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year; in addition, HP's net profit in the third fiscal quarter of the 2024 fiscal year is 600 million US dollars (currently about 4.233 billion yuan), a year-on-year decrease of 16% as well.
