Subaru Recalls SOLTERRA Due to Defective Camera

Starting from now, recalling imported SOLTERRA (Lankan) series cars with the production date of April 26, 2023, a total of 1 car.
This recalled vehicle's panoramic monitoring system's front camera housing has poor welding at the joint, resulting in insufficient waterproof performance, rainwater, etc. invading the camera interior, which may cause circuit corrosion and poor conduction, resulting in the inability to display the camera image, increasing the risk of a vehicle collision and posing a safety hazard.
TapTechNews learned from the recall notice that Subaru (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the front camera of the panoramic monitoring system for the recalled vehicles for free and calibrate the optical axis to eliminate the safety hazard.
SOLTERRA (Lankan) is Subaru's first mass-produced pure electric vehicle. This model is a homologous model with Toyota's BZ4X and appeared in the Catalog of New Energy Automobile Models Exempt from Vehicle Purchase Tax of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in December 2023.
According to the information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, this car is equipped with a 66.7 kWh battery pack, and the pure electric range is 500 kilometers (about 310 miles).
From the appearance point of view, the side of this car is almost identical to the Toyota electric vehicle verification code bZ4X that TapTechNews friends are familiar with.
