Nissan to Recall 371 Imported Infiniti Q50 and Q70 Cars in China

TapTechNews June 28th news, TapTechNews learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd., in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementing Rules for the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products, filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. Starting from July 10, 2024, some imported Infiniti Q50 and Q70 cars will be recalled, a total of 371 vehicles. Specifically as follows:

Some imported 2013-2018 Q50 cars produced during the period from November 12, 2013 to March 7, 2018, a total of 135 vehicles;

Some imported 2012-2018 Q70 cars produced during the period from May 15, 2012 to March 20, 2018, a total of 236 vehicles.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, because the supplier changed the size of the ball yoke of the drive shaft, resulting in increased stress on the ball yoke, the drive shaft may fatigue and fracture during the vehicle's use, resulting in power interruption, and there is a potential safety hazard.

Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will, through Dongfeng Infiniti Motors Co., Ltd., replace the drive shaft free of charge for the vehicles within the recall range to eliminate the potential safety hazard.
