China Mobile's 5G-A Network and Its Deployment, and the Start of 5G Cross-Network Roaming

Build an extremely reliable 5G-A network.

It is introduced that China Mobile has currently promoted the commercial deployment of 5G-A in 100 cities and will expand to 300 cities within the year; it will apply key technologies such as passive Internet of Things, deterministic network, and integrated communication and sensing to meet the network requirements of high performance, high flexibility and low cost in industry.

On March 28 this year, the commercial release conference of China Mobile 5G-A was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and China Mobile's 5GAdvanced network (5.5G) was officially put into commercial use.

TapTechNews note: The full name of 5G-A is 5G-Advanced, also known as 5.5G, which is a key stage in the evolution from 5G to 6G. Compared with 5G, the new generation of 5.5G technology comprehensively surpasses in terms of rate, delay, connection scale and energy consumption, realizes a 10-fold improvement in network capacity, and is expected to achieve a peak rate of 10,000 Mbps downstream and 1,000 Mbps upstream, millisecond-level delay, low-cost hundreds of billions of Internet of Things, and space-air integration. Currently, the three major operators are all competing to layout in 5G-A.
