The court ordered Samsung to pay more than 192 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 1.363 billion Chinese yuan) in patent infringement damages to MojoMobility. In the first trial in January this year, the jury had ruled that Samsung should pay 67.5 million US dollars in damages, as well as a continuing royalty of 1.50 US dollars for each Galaxy phone that infringed MojoMobility's patents. However, the judge believed that the jury had confusion in the definitions of continuing royalty and one-time royalty, so he ordered a retrial.

MojoMobility claims to focus on developing wireless charging technology and claims to have unique proprietary near-field power technology that can achieve wireless charging without position restrictions and power multiple devices simultaneously.
