Unannounced Game 'Alien Fireteam Elite 2' Discovered in Leaked Disney Docs

On July 14th, TapTechNews reported that Reddit user firemonkey11 found traces of the unannounced game Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 in the 1.1 TiB of documents leaked by Disney.

Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 is the sequel to the 2021 Alien: Fireteam Elite, still developed by ColdIron Studios, with the project code name Macondo, and it is expected to be released in Q3 of fiscal year 2025 (TapTechNews note: Q2 of 2025).

Introduction to the first-generation game

Alien: Fireteam Elite is a cooperative third-person survival game set in the classic Alien universe. Battle countless different types of Aliens as you try to contain the growing threat, customize your own character and equipment, and level up.

The leaked documents also show that the game's campaign mode is planned to have 13 missions with approximately 12 hours of gameplay; the Annihilation mode offers one map and 4-6 battlefields.

Unlike the first generation, Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 will have fixed preset characters and cannot be customized.

The leaked documents also mentioned that this game does not support in-game voice/text chat and does not plan to add content such as microtransactions, and the post-release content plan is still to be determined, but it may include additional Annihilation mode maps and story mission DLCs.
