Adobe usually adjusts or updates its service terms to comply with regulatory orders, and most users do not scrutinize these terms and usually default to agreeing.

Accessible works with confidentiality agreements

But for artists using Adobe Creative Cloud, the newly revised terms are unacceptable , Adobe can monitor users' works and even freely access works protected by confidentiality agreements.

If the user's work unit or client has a confidentiality agreement, then the new usage terms give Adobe the ability to view the content, which violates the confidentiality agreement that the user agreed to.

Training AI

And even worse, Adobe will incorporate users' artworks and use them for training generative AI tools whether the users like it or not.

2.2 Our access to your content.

We may access, view or listen to your (defined in Section 4.1 (Content) below) content through automatic and manual methods, but only in limited ways permitted by law.

For example, in order to provide services and software, we may need to access, view or listen to your content to:

(A) Respond to feedback or support requests;

(B) Detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security, legal or technical problems;

(C) Enforce the terms, as described in Section 4.1 below. Our automated systems may analyze your content and (defined in Section 3.10 (Creative Cloud customer fonts) below) Creative Cloud customer fonts using methods such as machine learning to improve our services and software and user experience.

4.1 Content

Content means any text, information, communication or material such as audio files, video files, electronic documents or images that you upload, import, embed for use or create using the services and software.

If it is found that any of your content violates the terms, then we reserve the right to delete the content or restrict access to the content, services and software (but have no obligation to do so).

We do not review all the content uploaded to the services and software, but we may screen certain types of illegal content (such as child sexual abuse material) or other offensive content or behavior (such as activity patterns indicating spam or phishing or keywords indicating adult content posted outside the adult wall) with existing technologies, vendors or processes (including manual review).

14.1 Informal dispute resolution

Section 14.1 has also been changed, shortening the period for informal dispute resolution from 60 days to 30 days.
