According to the introduction, based on the AI performance of the fourth-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, the two sides used the Qualcomm AI Engine (QualcommAlEngine) to develop the first in the industry vehicle-end music experience upgrade function empowered by on-device AI.

In 2023, Qualcomm and Tencent Music Entertainment Group launched the Snapdragon Premium Sound Quality on the mobile phone end, moving the processing work of the premium sound quality AI model algorithm to run on the Qualcomm AI Engine.

This year, the Snapdragon Premium Sound Quality is upgraded again. Qualcomm Technologies, in collaboration with Tencent Music Entertainment Group, jointly launched the in-vehicle Snapdragon Premium Sound Quality, enabling users to obtain the music quality of 24-bit/96 kHz during the driving process. At the same time, through the optimized power consumption and computing power utilization distribution of the chip, the traffic consumption required for audio optimization processing is reduced, claiming that up to 90% of traffic can be saved at most.

The Snapdragon Premium Sound Quality was successfully demonstrated on the NIO ET7 equipped with the fourth-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, and NIO officials also said that they will actively promote the official commercial landing of the Snapdragon Premium Sound Quality.

According to TapTechNews' inquiry, the NIO ET7 2024 administrative version of the car was released in April this year, equipped with an enhanced 7.1.4 sound system, featuring 23 top-quality material speakers, using a carbon fiber three-dimensional flat-panel unit 3D speaker, with a total power of 2230W, supporting Dolby Atmos, and priced at $428,000 and up (about 2.97 million yuan).
