AUO showcases new MicroLED displays at SID Display Week 2024

TapTechNews May 17 news, AUO displayed a series of new displays primarily based on MicroLED technology at the SID Display Week 2024 this week.

AUO's 17.3-inch MicroLED folding display made its debut at the event for the first time.

The display covers 100% of the AdobeRGB color gamut, with a brightness of up to 1000 nits, and a hinge radius of only 4mm. It is easy to carry in the folded mode, meeting the creative needs of professional creatives anytime, anywhere.

AIWO also brought the world's largest single-piece MicroOLED display. This 31-inch single-piece large screen is equipped with AUO's A.R.T. anti-reflective and advanced driver display technology, supporting indoor and outdoor use.

In automotive applications, AUO showcased a 163ppi 5000 nits high-brightness transparent main driving display. The FHD resolution sub-driver MicroLED display with built-in camera under the screen also reaches a brightness of 5000 nits.

In terms of non-MicroLED technology, AUO displayed a wood-grain display with AmLED (corresponding to MiniLED). The display has an 80% transparency rate and supports switching between information display and decorative panel modes.

For notebook IT panels, AUO also brought a 13.3-inch QHD resolution low-power LTPS display, which features a high-efficiency backlight design. With a total power consumption of less than 0.65W under 150 nits of brightness on a white screen, it can further extend the device's battery life.
