Gurman provided some additional details about the release schedule of the AppleIntelligence features, including an interesting new detail: Some new Siri functions may be launched in iOS 18.3 instead of the previously expected iOS 18.4.

Gurman said: iOS 18.4 will be the biggest update after iOS 18.1, and it will include many new Siri functions (I've heard that some of these functions are being considered for launch in iOS 18.3). This means that we may be able to experience the redesigned Siri as early as next January, as the release of iOS x.3 versions is usually in January, while the release of iOS x.4 versions is usually in March.

TapTechNews noted that Gurman also provided details about the development schedule and release dates of other iOS 18-related versions:

iOS 18.1 is expected to be internally completed this week and will be released in mid-October.

iOS 18.2 is expected to be internally completed in early November and will be released in December.

iOS 18.3 is expected to be internally completed by the end of the year and will be released in January.

iOS 18.4 is expected to be internally completed in early February and will be released in March.

iOS 18.1 will bring the first wave of AppleIntelligence functions, including lightweight Siri updates (new interface, faster response), writing tools, photo cleaning, and notification summaries. After that, iOS 18.2 is expected to bring ImagePlayground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration.
