TapTechNews May 14th news, artificial intelligence startup Anthropic announced that its generative AI assistant Claude will be launched in Europe on Tuesday local time. The company's foundational software products have gained traction in various industries in Europe such as finance and hospitality.
Anthropic will also offer a paid subscription version, called ClaudePro, granting users access to all its models (including the cutting-edge Claude3Opus). In addition, Anthropic has introduced the enterprise-focused ClaudeTeam subscription plan, priced at 28 euros per month (approximately 219 RMB, excluding VAT).
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei stated: We place a strong emphasis on accuracy, security, and privacy, with Amazon and Google assisting the company in meeting stricter EU regulations on enterprise data usage.
Anthropic mentions that Claude is fluent in French, German, Italian, Spanish, and other European languages. TapTechNews notes that Claude was previously offered for free in the UK through web and mobile client services, but Anthropic states this is the product's first launch for EU (UK is no longer part of the EU) as well as non-EU countries like Norway, Switzerland, and Iceland.
