Currently, AFMF has been applied to thousands of games and supports AMD Radeon RX 6000 and 7000 series graphics cards as well as some AMD Ryzen processors with integrated Radeon graphics.

AFMF2 adds new optimizations and adjustable configurations to provide a better frame generation experience, including enhanced features for AI optimization, and also adds interoperability support with AMD Radeon Chill 5, support for borderless full-screen settings, and support for Vulkan and OpenGL games. When testing on some AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards and AMD Ryzen processors with integrated Radeon graphics for specific games, AFMF2 can provide an average 2.5 times higher frame rate performance.

In this update, AMD also introduces a new technology called Geometric Scaling, which helps to reduce visual artifacts and aliasing phenomena, allowing users to obtain a more smooth video playback experience and supports AMD DNA 3 products and all DirectX 11 applications.

In terms of bug fixes, the new driver fixes the problem that some DirectX 12 applications may crash when the Windows user name contains certain non-English characters, the problem of increased memory usage of some Java versions of Minecraft, and the problem of flickering around the window border above Microsoft Teams.
