Chinese Game Publishers' Strong Performance in May 2024

TapTechNews June 17th news, the SensorTower store intelligence platform shows that in May 2024, a total of 40 Chinese manufacturers were shortlisted in the TOP100 list of global mobile game publishers by revenue, collectively generating $2.11 billion in revenue (TapTechNews note: currently about 15.352 billion yuan). It accounts for 39.7% of the revenue of the current global TOP100 mobile game publishers.

Tencent, NetEase, and Mihoyo still rank in the top three of the global revenue rankings of Chinese mobile game publishers in May 2024, which is the same as the ranking of last month.

The classic IP-adapted mobile game Dungeon & Fighter: Origin officially launched publicly on May 21st and immediately monopolized the top spots of both the domestic iPhone overall list and the mobile game best-selling list. In the last 11 days of May, the game's revenue in the domestic iOS market has already exceeded the total revenue of Honor of Kings and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile, resulting in a 12% monthly-on-month growth in the revenue of Tencent Games on the mobile side in May.
