Chinese Open-World RPG 'Yanyun Sixteen Sounds' Update Delayed, Optimization Goals, and Future Plans

TapTechNews August 2nd news, the domestic open-world RPG martial arts game Yanyun Sixteen Sounds, which was originally scheduled to go online for open beta on July 26, has been postponed for now and is undergoing more optimization and polishing.

The official released a preheating message today and revealed the internal optimization goal of Yanyun Sixteen Sounds:

At the time of open beta, make it playable on an i5 6500 + 8GB + 550Ti + mechanical hard drive, which also approximately corresponds to 90% of the PC hardware market share.

The short-term test goal on the mobile side: strive to cover iPhone 12, and Android is probably Snapdragon 870 or devices with the same performance.

The PS5 version is also being intensively developed, and has completed the adaptation of scene, character, mobile 3C and other designs, and is also working hard on subsequent fine-tuning and interoperability design.

In terms of game interaction, the two optimizations that the official is mainly doing recently, one is PC & console controller, and the other is the interaction on the mobile side.

In terms of PC & console controller interaction, the previous temporary solution was relatively rough, left-handed magic (LT + cross key release), right-handed martial arts (RT + ABXY release). But once the cross key is pressed to release magic, players can't push the joystick to move during the battle. This is very dangerous in the battle.

Now, the official has optimized the interaction logic. After LT/RT calls out the magic/martial arts interface, all releases are placed on the right-hand side ABXY. In this way, players will no longer be in a state of confusion and crisis in the intense battle, and only need to focus on the skill operation in the right thumb function area.

In terms of mobile side interaction, when exploring, there are only simple buttons such as sprint and lightness skill on the mobile side, and more complex attack skills will pop up only when in battle. There is also a very core interaction in Yanyun battle, that is, unloading potential. At a specific time, the mobile side can hide other UIs and highlight an unloading potential button for players.

The official also revealed at the end that a large-scale multi-terminal test is being intensively prepared recently, but no specific date has been announced. According to the official commitment, in 2024, Yanyun Sixteen Sounds will definitely meet in open beta.

The unfolding of the story is definitely not a stereotyped reading bar standing, but according to different identity settings, very different gameplay can be experienced.
