XPeng Motors Chairman He Xiaopeng's Share Purchases and Company Updates

TapTechNews August 26th news, XPeng Motors announced early this morning that He Xiaopeng, the chairman of XPeng Motors, from August 21st to August 23rd, 2024, has purchased a total of 1 million Class A ordinary shares of the company in the open market at an average price of HK$27.13 per Class A ordinary share, which is approximately HK$27 million, and has also purchased approximately 1.4199 million American Depositary Shares of the company at an average price of US$7.02 per American Depositary Share, which is approximately US$9.97 million. This increase in holdings amounts to approximately HK$107 million in total (TapTechNews note: currently about 98.014 million RMB).

At the same time, the announcement also pointed out that He Xiaopeng plans to continue to increase his holdings in XPeng Motors at an appropriate time in the future.

Immediately after the acquisition, Galaxy Dynasty wholly owned by He Xiaopeng holds 1,419,922 American Depositary Shares of XPeng Motors, and He Xiaopeng has an interest in the 327,708,257 Class B ordinary shares and 2,200,000 American Depositary Shares held by Simplicity Holding Limited, the 21,000,000 Class B ordinary shares held by Respect Holding Limited, the 1,419,922 American Depositary Shares held by Galaxy Dynasty, and the 1,000,000 Class A ordinary shares held by himself directly, totaling approximately 18.8% of the total issued share capital of the company as of the date of this announcement.

XPeng Motors' total revenue in the second quarter of 2024 was 8.11 billion yuan, an increase of 60.2% year-on-year and 23.9% quarter-on-quarter. The net loss was 1.28 billion yuan, while the net loss in the same period last year was 2.80 billion yuan, and the net loss in the previous quarter was 1.37 billion yuan. Excluding US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the adjusted net loss was 1.22 billion yuan, while the net loss in the same period last year was 2.67 billion yuan, and the net loss in the previous quarter was 1.41 billion yuan.
