Apple's WWDC2024 iOS18 Compatibility List and watchOS11 Updates

TapTechNews June 10th news, Apple's WWDC2024 developer conference will be held at 1 a.m. tomorrow, and operating systems such as iOS / iPadOS18, visionOS2, macOS15, and watchOS11 will make their appearances successively.

According to the macrumors website report, a reliable source revealed that watchOS11 will stop supporting the 2018 Apple Watch Series 4, the 2019 Apple Watch Series 5, and the 2020 first-generation Apple Watch SE. This update will be compatible with Apple Watch Series 6 and later versions.

TapTechNews noted that the Apple Watch Series 3 launched by Apple in 2017 has already stopped being supported after the watchOS9 update in 2022. The cancellation of support for Apple Watch Series 4 in watchOS11 is reasonable, but the abandonment of Series 5 is slightly different from the previously exposed information.

Compared to Series 4, the main upgrades of Series 5 include an always-on display option, increased storage space, and a compass, etc.
