However, Sony continues the 'tradition' in this game as in 'Helldivers 2' and 'Ghost of Tsushima' before, requiring PC version players to bind a PSN account to play, which has caused quite a controversy among many players on platforms like Reddit.

But when the game development team was interviewed by the media Eurogamer recently, they thought the requirement of binding a PSN account for the PC version of this game was 'quite reasonable', which is to 'better support cross-platform play and cross-platform progress', and the chief designer Jon Weisnewski added: 'Our goal is to bring PC and PlayStation players together to feel the charm of this game, so binding a PSN account at the technical level is necessary.'

It is introduced that Sony positions 'Starburst Strike' as a 'eal-time service' game, claiming that 'the official will regularly premiere new cinematic episodes in the game, and these episodes will further drive the story development of these characters and advance the ongoing narrative arc'. Currently, this game has been launched on Steam's China region (click here to visit), and TapTechNews attaches the specific price information as follows:

Standard Edition: $42.

Deluxe Edition (play the game 3 days in advance / 16 character skins): $61.

During the Beta test, players can play all 16 'Freegunners' characters in the game. No matter whether players like intense gunfights, area lockdowns, long-range shooting or supporting the team, there is a suitable gameplay, and it can take care of players at different skill levels.

More characters, maps, modes, and small stories will be updated in the follow-up, and players can choose their favorite heroes from 16 heroes with different powers and abilities, and then form a 5-person 'FreeGunners' team to complete tasks in different sci-fi worlds.
