China Telecom Launches 'Xingchen Wisdom Response' Service for SMS-Based AI

TapTechNews July 12th, China Telecom today announced the launch of the 'Xingchen Wisdom Response' service, endowing traditional SMS services with AI intelligence. This is also the world's first large model service provided through the SMS channel.

It is introduced that the Xingchen large model is jointly developed by the China Telecom AI Company and the China Telecom AI Research Institute (TeleAI), covering semantics, speech, vision, multimodal, etc.

TeleAI has recently jointly with the China Telecom Value-Added Service Operation Center launched the 'Xingchen Wisdom Response' service. Different from the requirements of traditional large models that need to download additional apps or use web pages, mini-programs, etc., Xingchen Wisdom Response is simple and native. China Telecom users only need to edit the SMS to 106599333 to start the AI interaction.

TapTechNews note: The responses given by Xingchen Wisdom Response to users do not charge any fees, and the outgoing SMS sent by users actively is charged according to the relevant tariff standards of the package.

The official of China Telecom said that the traditional large model on the App side or web side is very dependent on the stability of the network signal. Xingchen Wisdom Response transmits data through the signaling channel of SMS, providing another option.

At present, Xingchen Wisdom Response has already possessed core capabilities such as language understanding, text generation, knowledge Q&A, and logical reasoning. No matter whether users need to look up knowledge encyclopedias, conduct text translation, look for food recommendations, or understand travel information, Xingchen Wisdom Response can provide responses.

In terms of text generation, Xingchen Wisdom Response can create poems, polish texts, write articles, and even generate codes.
