Alogic Releases World's First 5K Touch Monitor

TapTechNews June 16th news, Samsung, Apple and LG are all left behind. The little-known monitor manufacturer, Alogic, has taken the lead in releasing the world's first 5K touch monitor, ClarityTouch5K.

This 27-inch professional monitor uses an IPS panel and QD backlight, with a resolution as high as 5120 x 2880, the same as Apple's StudioDisplay, but with added touch functionality. In terms of brightness, ClarityTouch can provide a range from 350 nits (minimum) to 400 nits (typical), and it supports 10-point touch and stylus input for convenient fine operations.

More importantly, ClarityTouch has excellent color performance, covering 130% of NTSC, 97% of DCI-P3, 100% of sRGB, and 99% of AdobeRGB color gamut. Such high color accuracy is crucial for professional applications that require accurate color reproduction, such as design and post-production.

ClarityTouch is designed with a combination of fashionable ABS, glass, and aluminum materials, weighing 7.6 pounds and measuring 24.57 inches x 8.86 inches x 21.85 inches. It supports VESA wall mounting and has two 5W speakers and an audio output interface built-in.

In terms of functions, ClarityTouch is equipped with a complete set of interfaces, including USB-C for video transmission (requires DP Alt Mode), USB-C that supports 65W laptop charging, two HDMI2.1 interfaces, one DisplayPort1.4 interface, two USB-A interfaces (5 Gbps speed, can provide 7.5W power for accessories), a 3.5mm headphone interface, and a USB-B interface for connecting to the computer's USB-A and audio ports.

It is reported that this monitor is compatible with Apple, Chromebook, and Microsoft devices and offers a two-year warranty. The official price and launch date have not yet been announced. However, referring to the price of its 27-inch 4K version, ClarityProTouch, at $1398.99, it is expected that the price of the 5K version will be around $1800 (TapTechNews note: currently about 13084 RMB).
