Google Maps Update UI Improvements and New Features

TapTechNews July 16th news, Google announced in February this year that it will overhaul its own map application, and currently relevant updates have been implemented in Google Maps version 11.136.x, mainly focusing on efficiency improvements around the UI.

Google mentioned that now when users search for an address, they can visually see the start/end point icons, and can directly click to switch between walking/bus/driving modes at the bottom of the screen.

In addition, Google has recreated the point of interest details card using a form-based style. Now the overall style of the relevant point of interest card is similar to that of the Google Search app, which can present highly dense information and is convenient for users to visually obtain more content. After users finish browsing, they can also directly click the X or quickly close it by swiping.
