New Tsinghua Unigroup Unveils THA6206, a Seminal Automotive Chip

The new Tsinghua Unigroup completed the group's brand renewal, and Tsinghua Unigroup was renamed New Tsinghua Unigroup, and the new brand image was also simultaneously revealed.
In the afternoon of the same day, the semiconductor industry innovation sub-forum was held. The core enterprise in the automotive electronics and intelligent chip sector of the new Tsinghua Unigroup - Tsinghua Tongxin released the second-generation automotive domain control chip product - THA6206, which is claimed to be the first R52+ core automotive-grade MCU in China to pass the ASILD product certification.
According to the official introduction of Tsinghua Tongxin, THA6206 has the strongest real-time processor core of ARM at present, with a maximum main frequency of 400 MHz, integrates the latest version of the GTM module, supports high-precision PWM, passes the ISO26262 ASILD-level functional safety process and product certification, reaches the highest level of EVITA-Full, has a V8 reduced instruction set, and has a built-in hardware RDC module, which can support both soft decoding and hard decoding rotary variable decoding methods to adapt to the needs of the domain control scene.
In addition, THA6206 integrates a variety of functional modules and peripheral interfaces, and is compatible with the industry's mainstream debugger, compiler and other tool chains, and can adapt to the automotive application environment.
Tsinghua Tongxin Senior Vice President Huang Jun said: This product is specially tailored for automotive safety applications and meets the urgent need of MCU products with higher safety and faster real-time response capabilities for the new E/E domain architecture of automobiles. Currently, many OEMs and Tier1 are already conducting development and testing based on this chip.
TapTechNews queried the official website of Tsinghua Tongxin and has not found more parameter details of THA6206 for the time being. The official website shows that Tsinghua Tongxin focuses on the field of intelligent connected vehicles and the hardware-level solution based on security chips has been successfully introduced into many domestic and international first-line automakers and has been implemented in vehicles in fields such as T-BOX, V2X, eUICC, National VI OBD, and digital car keys.
