Mercedes-Benz and Volcano Engine to Collaborate on AI and More
TapTechNews August 13th news, ByteDance's cloud service platform, Volcano Engine, announced that Mercedes-Benz (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd. have signed a strategic cooperation memorandum and will carry out cooperation and exploration in technical fields such as large models, generative artificial intelligence and big data.
According to the introduction, Mercedes-Benz and Volcano Engine have previously cooperated in in-vehicle applications and development tools. In 2023, Mercedes-Benz introduced the in-vehicle audio and video App Volcano Car Entertainment under Volcano Engine into its intelligent cockpit system, and first launched it in the all-new long-wheelbase E-Class. This application gathers audio and video contents from popular platforms such as TikTok, Watermelon Video and Toutiao.
