Andy Wen, senior director of product management in the Google Workspace division, said that for government agencies that migrate more than 500 users to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus and sign a three-year contract, Google will offer free use for the first year and a 'huge discount' for the subsequent contract period. The Google Workspace division, affiliated with Alphabet Inc., is offering 18 months of free use to enterprise customers signing a three-year contract, and will also offer a huge discount and a security incident response service from Google's security company Mandiant after the contract expires. All migrated users will receive free consulting services to help them smoothly complete the switch.

Google released a white paper to the outside world on Monday, highlighting the security vulnerabilities of its competitor Microsoft and is considering launching social media and advertising campaigns with similar themes. Google wrote in the white paper, 'Microsoft's successive security challenges require enterprises and public sector agencies to look for better alternatives. We believe that Google Workspace offers a safer option with a proven record of engineering excellence, deep investment in cutting-edge defenses, and a transparent corporate culture that regards customer security as the top priority.'

It has always been difficult for Google to convince customers to abandon the Microsoft Office suite, but the frequent occurrence of Microsoft's cybersecurity vulnerabilities makes customers more willing to consider switching platforms. TapTechNews noted that Wen said at a recent Google meeting that some enterprise customers disclosed that their boards of directors and senior management have set a deadline to stop using Microsoft products due to 'no longer being able to bear the risk'.
