Apple Releases Third Public Beta Versions of Multiple Systems

TapTechNews August 7th news, Apple today pushed the third public beta version of watchOS11, macOS15 Sequoia, tvOS18, iPadOS18 and iOS18 systems to users who have registered to join the Beta testing program, which is one week after Apple released the last public beta version.

iOS/iPadOS18 Third Public Beta Version

This update is based on the iOS/iPadOS18 Beta5 developer preview version and invites some users (limited to iPhone15Pro models and M-series iPads) to try out and test the AppleIntelligence function.

Apple has currently invited some users to test the AppleIntelligence function:

Writing tool: Can be used for rewriting, polishing, proofreading and summarizing text across applications

ImagePlayground: For generating some custom images

Genmoji: Generate custom emojis

Siri: Improve the Siri voice assistant

In the iOS/iPadOS18 Beta5 developer preview version, Apple has also redesigned the home screen, allowing users to re-arrange app icons and widgets, and introduced a new dark icon mode.

tvOS18

Apple has released the third public beta version of tvOS18. Users can open the Settings application on AppleTV, select the Software Update section under System, and then switch to the Get Public Beta Update option to download the tvOS18 beta version.

tvOS18's functions are not as rich as Apple's other system updates. However, this update brings a new InSight feature to the AppleTV application. InSight is similar to Amazon's X-Ray, providing real-time information about actors, music, etc. in AppleTV+ programs and movies.

macOS15 Sequoia Update

In the latest public beta version update of macOS15 Sequoia, Apple mainly introduced a new distraction control function for the Safari browser.

Apple has added a new distraction control (DistractionControl) function to Safari, which allows iPhone users to hide distracting elements in webpages or articles.

watchOS11 Third Public Beta Version
