TapTechNews July 10th news, the upcoming iOS 18 update will bring two brand-new 'background sounds' for iPhone users: Night and Campfire.

Apple introduced the 'background sound' feature since iOS 15, which can play soothing background sounds to help users focus or relax. TapTechNews noted that other selectable background sounds include Balanced Noise, Bright Noise, Dark Noise, Ocean, Rain, and Stream.

The 'background sound' is completely free and is used similarly to other sleep aid apps. Users can go to 'Settings' > 'Accessibility' > 'Audio & Vision' > 'Background Sound' to turn on the 'background sound', and can also quickly enable this function through the control center.

iOS 18 is currently in the developer testing stage and is expected to have a public test soon, and the official version will be pushed in September. It is worth mentioning that the test versions of iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia have also added these two new 'background sounds'.
