XS1000R is the recolored version of the original all-black XS1000. Keith Schimmenti, the manager of Kingston's solid-state drive business, said that XS1000R provides a new choice for customers who want to stand out and express themselves through colors.

XS1000R portable solid-state drive has dimensions of 69.54 × 32.58 × 13.5 (mm) and weighs 28.7 grams. It is equipped with 3D NAND flash and supports a sequential read rate of 1050 MB/s and a sequential write rate of 1000 MB/s.

XS1000R supports an operating temperature of 0°C to +40°C and a storage temperature of -20°C to 85°C, and comes with a 12-inch (TapTechNews note: approximately 30.48 centimeters) long USB C to A data cable and a USB A to C adapter. Kingston provides a 5-year limited warranty for it.
