GAC Trumpchi Releases New Concept Car 1Concept with Huawei Technology

TapTechNews September 24th news, today GAC Trumpchi officially released the new concept car 1Concept, which adopts Huawei's intelligent vehicle solution, equipped with Trumpchi i-GTEC2.0, Huawei's Hongmeng cockpit and Qiankun intelligent driving ADS3.0 system, and the mass production version will be launched and delivered in the first quarter of 2025.

TapTechNews noticed that in terms of appearance design, 1Concept shows a low-profile and dynamic streamlined shape with a relatively low drag coefficient. In the front face part, a large-sized interactive light is equipped in the original position of the middle net, and the LED daytime running lights running through the entire front of the car and the slender LED lights on both sides have a very futuristic feeling. The new car is also equipped with a time-axis headlight, providing three modes: off, driving and intelligent driving.

In the side of the body, 1Concept adopts the streamlined and dynamic design of a coupe, equipped with large-sized wheels, frameless doors, and a fastback design. The rear part narrows towards the middle, and the overall feeling is very dynamic. In terms of body dimensions, the new car is 5128mm long, more than 6570mm wide (about 20 feet), the wheelbase is 3000mm, and adopts a short front and rear suspension and long wheelbase design to provide more space. The new car is also equipped with 21-inch wheels.

In terms of intelligent driving, the Huawei ADS3.0 system equipped by 1Concept can realize the intelligent driving navigation NCA from parking space to parking space. The parking function supports leaving the car and leaving immediately without the need for memory parking, and can even park in extremely narrow parking spaces. When the AEB braking distance is insufficient, the system can avoid obstacles by borrowing lanes under the premise of safety, and can recognize bicycles crossing obliquely and horizontally.

The new car is the first landing product of the GAC Trumpchi-Huawei joint innovation plan. It is expected to be positioned as a large flagship sedan. The GAC Trumpchi-Huawei joint innovation plan was released during the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024. According to the plan, the two sides will combine Trumpchi i-GTEC2.0, Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system ADS3.0, and the new generation of Hongmeng cockpit, etc., and jointly create a series of new flagship models including sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.

GAC Trumpchi simultaneously released the latest generation of new energy technology GAC Super Range Extender, which provides a three-motor distributed four-wheel drive and a four-motor four-wheel independent drive electric drive layout. According to the official introduction, the GAC Super Range Extender is matched with a 56 kWh 800V 5C fast-charging range extender dedicated battery pack, and the pure electric cruising range can reach more than 300 kilometers. In the future, the mass production models of the cooperation between GAC Trumpchi and Huawei will be equipped with the above-mentioned GAC Super Range Extender system.
