Microsoft said that in Teams, custom Emojis and Reactions (to express reactions to a certain message) are good ways to effectively convey status or share relaxed information or feelings. Each user is allowed to use a maximum of 5000 custom emoji.

This function requires the permission of the Teams administrator of the enterprise or organization to go online. After it is enabled, the user can click the + button, and then a file selection box will pop up, supporting JPEG, PNG or GIF files. The official Microsoft recommends choosing a small square picture.
