Google Releases New Google TV Streamer (4K) Set-Top Box

This set-top box is priced at 99.99 US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 714 RMB), and will be officially launched on September 24th, with two versions available, porcelain white and hazelnut color. The latter will be exclusively sold in the Google Store.

Compared to the Chromecast 4K, this set-top box is 50 US dollars more expensive, and at the same time, the hardware has also been significantly strengthened. For example, the CPU speed is 22% faster, and it also has twice as large (4GB) of RAM memory and four times as large (32GB) of ROM storage space. Google said that this leap will significantly improve the user experience.

In addition, the Google TV Streamer provides HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet port, and USB-C interface (only for power supply), supports 4K HDR 60 FPS, and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It can be used with Pixel Buds Pro to use spatial audio function, supports Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), supports the Matter standard and the Thread protocol, can act as a smart home hub, and integrates Gemini and other AI functions.
