The Taiwanese media report pointed out that currently the AI server market is rising rapidly, among which high-end models will be equipped with high-performance AI chips from Nvidia, AMD, etc., while medium and low-end AI servers that do not require a large amount of inference computing will focus on high-energy-efficiency computing power.

MediaTek is also targeting the field of medium and low-end AI servers this time, aiming to get a share in the processor orders of cloud server manufacturers such as Microsoft, Google, and Meta by relying on the energy efficiency advantage of the Arm architecture.

TapTechNews found through inquiry that MediaTek is currently a member of the Arm TotalDesign comprehensive design ecological project and can quickly create a server CPU chip by relying on the package of IP provided by the Arm Neoverse computing subsystem platform.
