Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 New Features and Comparisons

TapTechNews on October 9th, a blog post by the tech media WccfTech yesterday (October 8th) reported that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card uses the GB203 GPU core, equipped with 16GB GDDR7 video memory with a speed of 32 Gbps, and it is the first graphics card to carry 32 Gbps GDDR7 video memory.

It is said that the bit width of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card is 256-bit, so the total bandwidth can reach 1 TB/s.

TapTechNews quoted the media report that the RTX 5080 is based on the PG144/147-SKU45 PCB, uses the complete GB203 GPU chip, has 84 SMs and 10752 cores, and the power consumption is 400 watts.

In contrast, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card adopts a 23 Gbps GDDR6X solution, and the peak total bandwidth is 736 GB/s.

Also note that in the RTX 50 series, only the RTX 5080 will use 32 Gbps GDDR7 video memory, while the RTX 5090 graphics card uses 28 Gbps.
