Sifo and Zaptec surveyed 1082 people who currently drive fuel-powered cars and 1032 people who currently drive electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid vehicles. The age range of both fuel vehicle and electric vehicle drivers participating in the survey is 18-79 years old.

According to the research results, 54% of electric vehicle owners said they rarely or never experienced range anxiety. However, about 45% of fuel-powered vehicle owners still cite range anxiety as the main reason why they don't want to buy an electric vehicle.

The study also found that 31% of electric vehicle owners in Sweden make at least 11 one-way trips with a distance of more than 20 miles (TapTechNews note: about 32.19 kilometers) every year, while only 19% of fuel vehicle owners have made similar trips.
