China's First Clean Coal Power and Parity Photovoltaic Collaborative Project Put into Production

TapTechNews September 15th news, according to CCTV News reports, recently, the No. 1 unit of the China Datang Xinyu Phase II clean and efficient coal power project successfully passed the 168-hour trial operation and was officially put into production, which is the first project in China that coordinates the development of clean coal power and parity photovoltaic.

TapTechNews learned from the report that the project is located in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, and consists of 2 1-megawatt coal-fired power units with a 250,000-kilowatt photovoltaic power station connected to the grid for external power transmission. The coal-fired power unit adopts the first five-cylinder and four-row steam secondary reheat million-kilowatt unit of Dongfang Electric, which recycles and reheats the steam that has already generated electricity once for secondary power generation, improving the utilization rate of steam energy, enhancing power generation efficiency and reducing coal consumption, making coal power cleaner. At the same time, this project solves the problem that the photovoltaic power station cannot generate electricity at night, forming a traditional energy and new energy complementary model of coal and light coordination, which not only guarantees the safe production of the power grid, but also promotes the local consumption and grid connection of new energy power.

In addition, the project also applies 69 national key energy-saving and low-carbon technologies and innovative techniques and methods, which can effectively improve the heat exchange efficiency and enhance the energy-saving effect. After the two units are put into production, it is expected to generate about 9.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which is of great significance for enhancing the power supply stability in the central region.
