The Souls-like games of FromSoftware have always been known for their high difficulty. Hidetaka Miyazaki discussed his views on the difficulty of the game this time:

If we really wanted to let people all over the world play this game, we could make the difficulty lower and lower, but that would not be the right way. If we adopted this method, I think the game would not have achieved the current result, because the sense of accomplishment that players get from overcoming these obstacles is an important part of the game experience. Reducing the difficulty would make the game lose this kind of fun - in my opinion, it would break the game itself.

TapTechNews noticed that after the success of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, Hidetaka Miyazaki was promoted to the president of FromSoftware in 2014, but he still devotes his main energy to game production.

I enjoy helping and cultivating young directors and hope they can lead the company to the next stage. But sitting in the management office all day is not my style.

I really will get my hands dirty and continue to make games together, and I hope that through these games, I can convey my production process to talents of different eras.

My president title has been for nearly 10 years, but I would like to say that in terms of what I do in the company and how I allocate my time, about 95% is making games and guiding games. According to this ratio, you can say that I actually only have about 6 months of senior management experience!
