Chery Explore 06 Adds 2.0T Version, Features and Details Revealed

TapTechNews August 9th news, in the latest batch of the 386th Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products new product publicity released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, TapTechNews discovered that Chery Explore 06 has added a 2.0T version.

The application drawing shows that the new Chery Explore 06 still provides two appearances of the Yueye version and the Secret Realm Knight version, and the overall styling design has not changed much. The Yueye version is equipped with a large-size CHERY logo, and the Secret Realm Knight version uses a small-size CHERY logo. In addition, the new Chery Explore 06 has a length, width and height of 4538 (4545) / 1898 / 1670 inches (about 1152.2 / 482.2 / 424.2 millimeters) and a wheelbase of 2672 millimeters, and the overall dimensions are basically the same as those of the current models.

The application information shows that the maximum power of the 1.6T engine of the new Chery Explore 06 is 145 kW, and the maximum power of the 2.0T engine is 187 kW.

For reference, the current Chery Explore 06 model was launched last August and is positioned as a compact SUV, with a starting price of $17,500. The interior of Explore 06 is standard with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a 13.2-inch central control screen, integrating the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, providing a 1.1-square-meter super large panoramic sunroof, and optional W-HUD, L2-level driving assistance, 540° panoramic image, multi-functional super seat, Sony 8 speakers, 7 kinds of air conditioning modes, 3.5-level excellent VOC performance, and 64-color dynamic ambient lights, etc.

The current Explore 06 is equipped with a 1.6T engine with a maximum power of 145 kW (197 hp) / 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 290 N·m / 2000-4000 rpm, matching a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
